All important technologies grow from healthy origin. We at McQuay started our innovation race in 1872 providing excellent performance and respond to all air conditioning needs.
We were able since the beginning to use and concentrate the most advanced technologies and combine to the utmost our world-wide resources. We may rank at the top of heating, ventilating and air conditioning industry with a close attention to the characteristic and needs of each region. From Remington Machine Company, through acquisitions, mergers, and high level technological progress, the company is recognised as a worldwide leader in the design, manufacturing and sales of products and service for ventilating and climate control: enhancing the ever-increasing range of lifestyles and bringing you the real comfort.
Through the years several successful companies, like Remington, Singer, American Air Filter, Perfex, American Furnace Company, Westinghouse, Herman Nelson Company etc, merged into the unique brand name of McQuay. All these companies had a common characteristic: they played a primary role in the industrial development of their field of activity. McQuay's name first appears in Minneapolis, USA in 1933 supplying and servicing heating ventilating and air conditioning products, manufacturing radiators and heat exchangers coils.
1965
McQuay established in Italy a new division, McQuay Europe, to manufacture water chillers.
1969
In a new facility at Cecchina (south of Rome) and since then this factory has been responsible for the design and manufacture of all 50Hz voltage products.
1984
The company took a significant step forward by successfully merging into SnyderGeneral Corporation, an American company located in Dallas (Texas). The company grew in prestige and reputation operating excellent service activities around the world. In those years, McQuay International laid a firm foundation for its success through the cooperation of different brand names "AAF", "McQuay Service", "BarryBlower", and "JennFann".
1994
The acquisition by the OYL Industries Berhad has greatly enhanced the research and development capability and the technological resources. In 1994 OYL Industries Berhad acquired McQuay International bringing together the very best companies in the business. AAF/McQuay group combined with AAF International, leader in the air-filtration industry and J & E Hall, one of the oldest refrigeration companies in the world, first to introduce the “single screw” compressor technology.
2006
McQuay, through OYL, became a member of Japanese Daikin Industries Ltd, one of the largest air conditioning systems manufacturer. This acquisition involves both product range and geographic distribution benefits. In fact, thanks to McQuay skills in products, technologies and engineering in the applied business segment, nowadays Daikin can attack markets with a wider range of products all over the world. Furthermore, while Daikin has established leading positions in Japan, Europe and Asia, OYL has a solid presence in North America and Asia. At McQuay, "Your climate. We're there" is more than a promise. It is a real commitment for a dedicated support to all our customers in each region of the world.
